𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

The Ulladulla Youth Centre provides early intervention support for young people 12-18 years old and their families living in the Shoalhaven region. This service works with the local schools to help support young people in the community to remain and be supported at school and advice and assistance is provided to assist the young people to access the required services.

We have an opportunity to work one day per week, either Monday or Friday as a Youth Worker. Based in the Ulladulla Youth Centre our Youth Workers are responsible for providing advice, assistance and support to young people to access local specialist services.

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗼:

- Respond to referrals of young people to the service from internal and external support services
- Provide ongoing case management sessions with young people working from strengths based and recovery orientated principles.
- Provide structured Group Programs such as Love Bites
- Provide Holiday programs Outreach and Drop-in sessions for young people to help them feel supported in the community.
- Complete various administrative duties for the efficient running of the service including statistics, reports, letters, plans and data entry in relevant client management system

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀:

- Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/ or significant experience in working with youth in the community
- Experience in Case Management and Youth Work
- Demonstrated sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of issues facing vulnerable families and their children
- First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
- Current NSW Drivers Licence

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
