Set in a beautifully restored heritage cheese factory on the South Coast of NSW, Milk HAUS is a destination restaurant built around seasonal, produce-driven food and a strong connection to the land.

Much of what we cook comes from our own kitchen garden and local growers. Our menus change with the seasons and with what’s flourishing around us — allowing the produce to lead the way.

Milk HAUS is also home to Fire + Feast, our signature open-fire dining and catering experiences, where whole animals, live fire, smoke and seasonal produce take centre stage. From long lunches and private events to weddings and large-scale collaborations, we’re building something exciting and looking for a chef who wants to be part of the journey.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves great produce, seasonal cooking and working with fire. You’ll be involved in our day-to-day restaurant service as well as special events, weddings and Fire + Feast catering experiences.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with exceptional ingredients, contribute ideas, develop your skills and be part of a creative kitchen where no two days are quite the same.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has experience in a busy café, restaurant or events kitchen

- Has a genuine passion for seasonal food, quality produce

- Takes pride in preparing and presenting great food

- Has strong communication and teamwork skills

- Brings a positive, reliable and hands-on attitude

- Can stay calm under pressure while maintaining high standards

- Is organised, clean and respectful of the kitchen and the team

- Is keen to learn, grow and contribute ideas

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

- Prepare and present high-quality dishes across breakfast, lunch and event service

- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver seasonal menus

- Assist with menu development and contribute creative ideas

- Support preparation for Fire + Feast events and live-fire cooking experiences

- Assist with weddings, private events and off-site catering

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen

- Manage stock, minimise waste and assist with ordering

- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times

- Help train and support junior kitchen staff

- Contribute to a positive, respectful and collaborative kitchen culture
