At The Disability Trust, we are committed to providing exceptional support to individuals with disability. We seek to empower our participants to live fulfilling lives by offering a range of tailored services and support systems.

We are seeking passionate and motivated permanent part-time Disability Support Workers to deliver person-centred support for our participants within our Home & Living Services in the Mollymook and Ulladulla regions.

Our services operate over a 24/7 basis and we are looking for those who have flexibility and availability to work a range of shifts in the morning, afternoon, evening and overnight in particular able to do sleepover shifts and shifts between 6.30am – 9.30am and 2.30pm – 10.00pm. We are looking to fill contracts 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟰𝟬-𝟱𝟬 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts on an as needs basis.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲

Whilst each day brings new challenges, you will assist with a range of daily living tasks to meet the individual needs and goals of our participants, ensuring independence, quality of life, dignity and respect.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- Delivering personal care to participants including assisting with toileting and showering.
- Preparing and assisting with meal preparation within the home.
- Administering medication and assisting with mobility including hoists and wheelchairs.
- Supporting attendance at appointments and community-based events.
- Engaging in skill building activities for participants, both individually and in a group setting.
- Offering meaningful and active support to enable participants to achieve their goals.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂

- Genuine desire to provide high quality care for people with disability.
- Ability to enable inclusion for people with disability.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Initiative and drive to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated awareness and/or experience with disability.
- Availability and flexibility to work a range of shifts. Finding people with the right availability to match our participants is important to us.
- Have or a willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check, and NSW Working With Children Check.
- Valid and current Driver License and access to a reliable vehicle.

If you are successful for the role, you will be required to complete comprehensive and paid training upon commencement, this is expected to commence end June/early July. This includes face-to-face sessions, online components and buddy shifts to enable you to succeed in the role, requiring availability during this 2-week period.
