𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀:

Thai Flavours Forevers Pty Ltd, trading as Thai Flavors Mollymook, is a Thai restaurant operating on the South Coast of New South Wales. The business specialises in authentic Thai cuisine and services both dine-in and takeaway customers, including local residents and seasonal visitors.

𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄:

An opportunity is available for a qualified and experienced Chef to join the kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of Thai dishes.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Thai cuisine or a Thai restaurant environment
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate IV or equivalent) or equivalent industry experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of traditional Thai cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavour profiles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and manage service periods effectively
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements

𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

- Oversee kitchen operations during service periods to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, maintaining a professional and cooperative work environment
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Thai dishes, ensuring consistency in quality, taste and presentation standards
- Plan and develop menus with consideration to seasonal availability and business requirements
- Monitor and control food costs, ensuring alignment with gross profit targets
- Manage supplier relationships, including ordering and stock control
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, presentation, and kitchen cleaning
- Implement and maintain systems to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality of output
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations
- Monitor portion control and minimise food waste
- Work collaboratively with the Restaurant Manager and front of house staff to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

Annual salary of $80,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and in line with industry standards.
