Are you a passionate Commis or Demi Chef looking for your next opportunity in the beautiful South Coast of NSW? Join our team at Bannisters Mollymook, at our friendly and fast-paced venue The Rooftop Bar & Grill. This is a permanent part-time role at 25-30 hours per week - perfect for work/life balance by the beach.

Set across two beautiful locations only minutes apart, Bannisters Pavilion and By The Sea bring coastal sophistic and relaxation to secluded Mollymook. Located at Bannisters Pavilion, the Rooftop Bar & Grill is a vibrant, contemporary space offering a laid-back yet stylish dining experience. Our menu celebrates local produce and bold flavors, served with a modern twist. It’s the perfect spot for guests to unwind and indulge in exceptional food and drinks while enjoying the relaxed beachside atmosphere.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

- Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to the highest standards;
- Work closely with senior chefs in your section to ensure consistency and quality (Commis Chef);
- Or oversee a designated section of the kitchen during service as directed by a senior chef and help provide training to more junior chefs(Demi Chef);
- Maintain a clean, organised workstation and follow all health and safety guidelines;
- Support daily kitchen operations, including stock rotation and inventory management;
- Help control wastage and portion sizes while upholding quality standards;
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment;

𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱

- Chef trade qualification (essential);
- Previous experience in a la carte restaurant environment;
- Ability to understand & deliver on our guests expectations;
- Passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement, and industry knowledge of food health & safety; 
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, strong communication and teamwork skills and be able to multitask with a high attention to detail; 
- Willingness to commence work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays;
- Reliable vehicle to get to and from the hotel; 
- Located close or a willingness to relocate.
