As a Lifestyle Officer, you'll be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing programs and activities designed to enhance the well-being and quality of life of elderly residents. This role involves creating engaging and meaningful activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the residents while ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Your warm-hearted care will provide experiences that enhance our residents' wellbeing and overall quality of life and truly make a positive impact on their lives. It really is an incredibly rewarding role and a lot of fun!

𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗱𝗼𝗻 (𝗠𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗼𝗻) 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 - 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:
- Helping facilitate a range of engaging onsite activities such as bingo, floor bowls, craft and special events
- Helping to develop and plan a range of social, recreational and cultural activities
- Assisting residents on bus trips and community outings
- Supporting resident participation and offering warm companionship
- Ensuring residents' needs, values and spiritual values and cultural preferences are taken into account

𝗧𝗼 𝗕𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲

- A Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or willing to obtain)
- Initiative and creative flair
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and prioritise work
- The ability to put a smile on a residents face and brighten their day
- A big heart - you're empathetic and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possible
- Knowledge of the needs of persons living with dementia (desirable)
