About the role

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗨𝘀

Yumaro is a multi-award winning not for profit located on the south coast of NSW. Yumaro operates several social enterprises providing employment opportunities in a supported way. We provide NDIS services including home and community supports, capacity building supports, accommodation, social programs, support coordination and plan management services to over 220 people living with a disability.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲

Are you skilled in coordinating and leading people and keen to make a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities working across our innovative social enterprises? Join Yumaro, a leading organisation dedicated to empowering individuals through meaningful employment, as a Team Leader. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead our social enterprise frontline staff (including in nursery, document destruction and cafe), providing critical operational support to our frontline team and employees with disabilities.

Disability experience is not necessary – if you have the right skills and attitude this role would be suitable for a person from a wide range of industry backgrounds. This is a part time role for 35 hours per week.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

- Lead, mentor, and support our frontline team, ensuring effective delivery of Yumaro social enterprise products and services.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of social enterprises, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, NDIS standards, and
organizational policies.
- Manage employee resource allocation to optimise operational efficiency and support employee development.
- Ensure the implementation of individual employment and training plans for supported employees.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, families, and external agencies to maintain strong relationships and support positive
outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement in operations and compliance, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment.

𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

- Demonstrated leadership experience leading teams in a business environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on motivating and empowering others.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, oversee operational processes, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Strong knowledge of and ability to implement WHS.
