Yumaro is a multi-award winning not for profit located on the south coast of NSW. Yumaro operates several social enterprises providing employment opportunities in a supported way. We provide NDIS services including home and community supports, capacity building supports, accommodation, social programs, support coordination and plan management services to over 220 people living with a disability.

About the role

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of young individuals by helping them build confidence and job-specific skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Employment Pathways and Learning Officer! This role is permanent part time position 3 days per week.

As the Employment Pathways and Learning Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering face-to-face and online capacity-building programs. These programs, including SLES (School Leaver Employment Supports) and Customised Employment services, help participants develop the skills and confidence needed to transition from school to work or to attain and maintain meaningful employment.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Design & Delivery: Assist in designing and delivering capacity-building programs that support participants in developing work readiness, interpersonal, and job-specific skills through structured learning and work experience.
Coordination & Logistics: Manage program logistics, including bookings, venues, and materials. Handle participant inquiries and maintain accurate service quotes and agreements in line with NDIS guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with participants, local employers, schools, and training organisations to create work experience and training opportunities.
Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records in the service management system (Nightingale), monitor service agreements, and provide administrative support to ensure smooth service operations.
Skills and experience

Experience in the disability sector or a related field.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work with diverse groups, including participants, families, schools, and employers.
Proficiency in using client management systems and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, NDIS portal).
