Locals and visitors alike will be impressed with the plans for the Ulladulla Harbour foreshore area. The harbour is being revitalised with a new elevated boardwalk, harbourside car park, and harbour berthing facility.

Although works on the harbour berthing facility have been suspended until more grant money is secured, the harbourside car park is on schedule to begin construction in early 2024. This long-awaited car park upgrade will service boating enthusiasts, shopping and cafe hoppers and picnickers enjoying the lovely harbour. With the design complete and the tender documentation currently being prepared, the details of the tender will be released towards the end of 2023.

The elevated boardwalk is also set to please, with an inclusive wrap-around track of the harbour. The boardwalk will eventually begin from the ‘One Track For All’, at the Northern Harbour headland and extend down the coast until it will connect and conclude at the Coastal Boardwalk, Bawley Point. Quite an ambitious project, but well worth the investment, providing a safe and scenic route along the stunning South Shoalhaven coastline.

Shoalhaven City Council are currently working on gaining approvals for construction, as well as tender documentation, and is expected to make some announcements soon.
