Meet Jo Jones

If you’ve bought, sold, or even just browsed real estate listings anywhere between Manyana and Bawley Point over the last decade, chances are you’ve come across Jo Jones. A Licensed Agent, Stock & Station Agent and Accredited Auctioneer, Jo has spent more than 10 years in the local real estate market building a reputation as one of the South Coast’s most trusted property specialists.

Jo runs Jo Jones Property Specialists, based at Mollymook Beach, alongside her all female team — Licensed Agent Debbie Short, Sales Associate Sue Stickney, Property Managers Emily-Rose Calladine and Ally Mitchell — handling sales and rentals across Ulladulla, Mollymook, Milton, Burrill Lake and surrounds. It’s a business built and run by women, in an industry that hasn’t always made that easy, and Jo’s approach has long been about backing other women into the profession alongside her.

Always there for a good cause

Ask around the Milton Ulladulla community and you’ll find Jo’s name attached to more fundraisers and local causes than most. Her business is a regular supporter of the Milton Ulladulla Rotary Club, Ulladulla Evening View Club, helped establish a website for the Milton Ulladulla District Soup Kitchen, and has backed Pink Up Your Town — the local breast cancer awareness initiative — for several years. She was also among the local businesses behind last year’s “Dine for Good” fundraiser, which raised funds for Safe Waters’ work supporting people in the community facing homelessness and hardship. If there’s a good cause in town, there’s a fair chance Jo and her team have already turned up to help.

The person behind the business

Beyond the office, Jo is a devoted Rotarian, an enthusiastic gardener, and a proud mum who spends plenty of weekends on the sidelines supporting her daughter’s competitive horse riding. Friends and clients alike describe her as approachable, straightforward and genuinely invested in the people around her — qualities that show up as much in her community work as in the way she looks after her clients.

Jo has also been a Committee Member of Business Milton Ulladulla for a number of years, contributing her time to the chamber’s work advocating for local business across the South Shoalhaven.
