𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

Mission Australia are excited to launch RESET - an early intervention and prevention program for young people aged twelve to twenty-four, to increase access to AOD services so that there is a reduced need for residential rehabilitation.

The AOD Support Facilitator focuses on supporting young people throughout recovery in relation to substance use concerns, providing both group programs and individual support.

In this dynamic role, you'll facilitate structured alcohol and other drug group programs and provide tailored health and social support to empower young individuals on their journeys to recovery.

Outreach work will be key, allowing you to reach those in the community who may not be able to access services easily. The use of a pool car for travel during work hours is a great benefit, ensuring that you can effectively engage with young people in various locations.

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗼:

- Work closely with key community providers to facilitate direct pathways to engagement with RESET including Corrections,
DCJ and Youth Justice, Mental Health and Aboriginal Health Services, Educational and Tertiary Institutions and Ulladulla
Youth Centre
- Respond to referrals of young people to the service from internal and external support services.
- Provide ongoing case management sessions with young people working from strengths based and recovery orientated
principles.
- Provide structured Alcohol and other Drug Group Programs and Workshops in local schools and community events
- Complete various administrative duties for the efficient running of the service including statistics, reports, letters, plans and
data entry in relevant client management system,

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀:

- Qualifications in Drug and Alcohol and /or Community Services are desirable
- Experience providing case management to individuals with complex needs.
- Experience working with young people with AOD support needs is highly valued
- Understanding of issues impacting young people and addiction experience in that field
- Experience in delivering harm minimisation programs and education.
- Current NSW driver's license
