Soor Practice – Yila Healing Trail

Saturday October 19, 2024 • 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Manjushri Buddhist Centre is excited to be hosting 3 events for those participating in the Yila Healing Trail in October 2024. Our events will focus on Connection to Community and Reconnection to Mind and Emotions. All events are free and everyone is welcome to attend. This is the final event from us 🙂

Soor Practice

A warm invitation to this traditional Buddhist practice bringing us into healthy relationship with death, loss and grieving.

Come along to a very special practice where we will offer prayers and mantras to the deceased. This is a beautiful practice that is supportive to the mind of the deceased, during their time in bardo (intermediate state) and for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Everyone is welcome to bring the name of a loved one (including pets) who have passed in the past 7 weeks to be included in the prayers and participate in the food offering which is done by burning food substance on the fire. Stay for a Chai and chat after the practice. It is a grounding and calming practice for anyone that has experienced loss.
