Community Open Day

Sunday October 13, 2024 • 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Join Growing Together South Coast and Treading Lightly, as we open our gate for a community open day as part of the Yila Healing Trail! This day will include:
Welcome To Country
Cultural Burning Talk – Uncle Vic Channell
Habitat For Wildlife stand and free insect hotel workshop.
Market garden tours and talks.
Crop swap table (please bring any produce, plants, crafts or homemade food you would like to swap).
Kids play area. Children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian and supervised throughout the day.
A chance to meet and connect to other like-minded folk in the community!

What to bring:
Please bring a water bottle, appropriate clothing including closed shoes/boots, a hat and gloves. Tools will be provided. We will provide a first aid kit and sunscreen.
Getting there
Entrance to the market garden is through a side gate on the south-eastern side of the Milton Showground. Please park in the Milton Showground near the toilet block.
