Milton Theatre presents: LEON

Blending southern soul, blues, country and roots rock, LEON is the project of Milton local singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Leon Holstegge. Drawing from years of experience as a touring and session musician, Leon brings a unique blend of raw emotion, musicianship and storytelling to his original music. Joined by his full band, LEON delivers a powerful live experience filled with soulful vocals, soaring guitar work and infectious grooves, capturing the spirit of classic roots music while forging a sound of his own.

Support:  Timea and the Trees

Somewhere between the earthy grounds of folk and the peculiarly shaped clouds of imagination, Timea and the Trees makes music that feels a little like wandering through an unfamiliar landscape and somehow recognising it. Originally from Hungary and now based in Milton, NSW, Timea draws on the warmth and experimentation of 70s folk, weaving organic instrumentation with subtle modern touches to create a sound entirely her own. Her songs move between intimate and expansive, raw and otherworldly, all held together by a feeling of warmth and inclusivity – a golden-hour world. Accompanied by her band, she’ll bring songs from her newly released debut album Here and There, exploring memory, identity, movement and our connection to the natural world, alongside some new unreleased tunes.
